Several themes animated by selected speakers were addressed during this IoT Time session dedicated to Industry 4.0

Theme 1: The ends justify the means: Technological complexity vs. business objectives

Too often, manufacturers think technology before they think need. They prefer the “technology push” to the “technology pull”. That is, they try and deploy technologies sometimes without fully understanding their use case. Through the story of the genesis of TEEPTRAK at a customer during a LEAN program, Francois Coulloudon will talk about the definition of the need and the design of the minimal technological response to meet it

Speaker

François Coulloudon

Founder of TEEPTRAK

François COULLOUDON, founder of TEEPTRAK, is an engineer graduated from Ecole Polytechnique. He holds a Master 2 in Innovation Management (Ecole Polytechnique co-habilitated with Mines de Paris) and an MBA (INSEAD). He started his career as an engineer at Renault in R&D on the electric vehicle program and then worked from 2008 to 2015 as an Operations Consultant (ex-BCG). He has participated in the design and deployment of several LEAN programs for large groups on 4 continents.

Theme 2: How to engage an IoT approach in an Industry 4.0 program?

  • The context of our Industry 4.0 approach (AI/data strategy, MES, connectivity)
  • Find resources
  • Identify the use case
  • Identify partners and choose solutions
  • Promote the approach
  • Make a demonstrator (POC) then implement
  • Integrate new needs
