Kerlink & WEGoT, Indian specialist in IoT solutions for water, join forces to greatly accelerate deployments – 10.06

Kerlink, the IoT specialist, and WEGoT, the Indian expert in real-time radio water management systems, announced their partnership on June 10, 2021. Combining ultrasonic water meters, WEGoT’s cloud application and Kerlink’s IoT devices, the solution created by the two companies allows water and wastewater companies to get a real-time picture of their business and anticipate maintenance.
The goal? Save over 10 billion liters of water in Indian residential and commercial buildings by 2024.

On June 8, Thales unveiled its new solution, Cinterion® IoT Suite Connectivity Activation, which facilitates the installation of IoT devices and enables IoT service providers to operate complex eSIM remote subscription provisioning platforms. Thus, a single device is now compatible with any mobile network operator in the world.

Orange, Lacroix, Sierra Wireless and STMicroelectronics announced on June 28 their partnership, IoT Continuum. Citymesh acquires Belgian assets of Sigfox – 25.06

Telecom operator Citymesh acquires Belgian operator Sigfox ENGIE M2M. With this acquisition, Citymesh completes its wireless portfolio with 0G connectivity. The Sigfox network is perfectly suited for IoT projects that use ultra-low bandwidth and require long battery life. Global roaming capabilities will allow Citymesh to support both domestic and international customers.

WeMaintain, the maintenance specialist raises 30 million euros – 29.06

WeMaintain, the elevator maintenance specialist, announced on June 29 that it had raised €30 million from Red River West, Bpifrance Digital Venture, and its investors Eurazeo Partners, Raise Venture and Financière Saint-James. With this amount, WeMaintain plans to expand in Singapore and to expand into other markets in Asia Pacific and North America. The goal? to become the leading global player in smart building.

Renesas accelerates IoT device prototyping with new Quick-Connect IoT platform – 07.07

Renesas introduced in early July 2021 its new rapid prototyping platform for IoT systems consisting of modular and standardized building blocks built around microcontrollers and sensors: quick-connect IoT. The goal? Enable designers to simply connect a wide range of sensors to development boards architected around Renesas microcontrollers.
